1. Eligibility & Suitability
All dogs must complete a PlayDate assessment before joining daycare unless they are joining via the Puppy Socialisation Sessions pathway.
Dogs must be comfortable in a group environment and able to safely socialise with others.
Dogs showing persistent fear, aggression, excessive mounting, guarding, or unsafe behaviour may not be suitable for daycare.
Bloomingtails reserves the right to refuse or discontinue daycare for any dog whose behaviour poses a risk to themselves, other dogs, or staff.
2. Vaccinations, Health & Parasite Control
All dogs must be fully vaccinated against parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis, and leptospirosis.
Kennel cough vaccination is strongly recommended but not mandatory.
Dogs must be up to date with flea, tick, and worm treatment.
Dogs must be in good general health and free from contagious conditions.
Owners must inform Bloomingtails of any illness, injury, or change in health prior to attending daycare.
Bloomingtails may refuse entry if a dog appears unwell on arrival.
3. Neutering & Bitches in Season
Entire males are not permitted after one year of age.
Bitches in season are not permitted to attend daycare under any circumstances.
If a bitch comes into season unexpectedly, all upcoming bookings during that period must be cancelled or rescheduled.
4. Behaviour & Safety Expectations
Dogs must arrive wearing a secure collar or harness with an ID tag.
No choke chains, prong collars, slip leads used as tightening tools, or aversive equipment.
Dogs must be able to cope with:
Any behaviour that compromises safety may result in temporary or permanent exclusion.
5. Trial Sessions & Settling In
All new dogs must complete a PlayDate assessment day before joining daycare unless they enter Bloomingtails through the Puppy Socialisation Sessions pathway.
Puppies attending the Friday Puppy Socialisation Sessions are assessed gradually during these sessions. Their behaviour, confidence, social skills, and suitability for mixed‑age daycare are monitored over time. If a puppy demonstrates safe and appropriate behaviour during these sessions, they may progress into full daycare without needing a separate assessment day.
Bloomingtails may still request an assessment day if a puppy shows signs of nervousness, distress, or behaviour that requires further evaluation before joining the main daycare group.
Bloomingtails will always prioritise welfare and will not force interactions, group play, or socialisation. Settling‑in plans may be adapted for individual puppies as needed.
5A. Puppy Socialisation Sessions – Additional Terms
Puppy Socialisation Sessions are designed for puppies under 6 months to build confidence, practise gentle play, and learn appropriate social skills in a controlled environment. These sessions differ from full daycare and have their own suitability requirements.
Eligibility
Puppies must be under 6 months old at the time of the session.
Puppies must be fully vaccinated, including their second core vaccination.
Puppies must be in good health and free from contagious conditions.
Puppies must be comfortable being handled by staff and able to engage safely in short, structured play periods.
Behaviour & Safety
Bloomingtails may decline participation if a puppy shows excessive fear, distress, or behaviour that may impact their welfare or the safety of others.
Puppies will be introduced gradually and may be separated for rest or confidence‑building if needed.
Owners understand that socialisation involves supervised off‑lead interaction and carries inherent risks, including minor bumps or puppy play scratches.
Session Structure
Sessions run for 2 hours and include gentle introductions, confidence‑building activities, rest breaks, and monitored play.
Bloomingtails will always prioritise welfare and will not force interactions.
Puppies who become overwhelmed may be removed from group play and offered quiet time.
Owner Responsibilities
Owners must disclose any known behavioural concerns, including fear responses, resource guarding, or previous negative interactions.
Owners must ensure puppies have toileted before arrival.
Owners must arrive and collect on time; late collection fees may apply.
Health & Emergencies
If a puppy becomes unwell during a session, Bloomingtails will contact the owner immediately.
If urgent veterinary care is required, Bloomingtails may transport the puppy to the nearest available vet.
Owners are responsible for all veterinary fees incurred.
Payment & Cancellations
Payment is required at the time of booking or on arrival.
Cancellations must be made with reasonable notice.
Repeated no‑shows may result in refusal of future bookings..
6. Owner Responsibilities
Owners must provide accurate information regarding their dog’s behaviour, health, and history.
Owners must disclose any incidents of aggression, reactivity, or behavioural concerns.
Dogs must arrive and leave on time for their booked session.
Owners must ensure their dog has had the opportunity to toilet before arrival.
7. Bloomingtails Responsibilities
Dogs are supervised at all times by trained staff.
Group sizes are managed to ensure safety and welfare.
Dogs are given structured rest, enrichment, and outdoor time.
Staff use only positive reinforcement and welfare‑based handling.
Bloomingtails will separate dogs if needed to maintain safety.
8. Emergencies & Veterinary Care
In the event of illness or injury, Bloomingtails will contact the owner immediately.
If urgent veterinary care is required, Bloomingtails may transport the dog to the nearest available vet.
Owners are responsible for all veterinary fees incurred.
Bloomingtails will always act in the dog’s best interest.
9. Weather Protocols
Outdoor time will be adjusted in extreme heat, cold, or adverse weather.
Shade, water, and cool‑down areas are always available.
Dogs may be kept indoors during unsafe conditions.

Payment is required at time of booking or on site before collection via cash, card, bank transfer, Direct debit.
Cancellations must be made with reasonable notice.
Repeated no‑shows or late cancellations may result in refusal of future bookings.

While every effort is made to ensure safety, owners accept that daycare involves supervised off‑lead group play and carries inherent risks.
Bloomingtails is not liable for injury, illness, or behavioural changes that may occur, except in cases of negligence.
14. Parties & Special Events
Bloomingtails may offer dog birthday parties, celebration events, seasonal events, open days, and other special activities from time to time.
Dogs attending parties or special events must meet the same health, vaccination, behaviour, and suitability requirements outlined in these Terms & Conditions unless otherwise agreed by Bloomingtails.
Owners acknowledge that participation in group activities, games, enrichment sessions, photo opportunities, and supervised off‑lead interactions carries inherent risks, including minor scratches, bumps, or play‑related injuries.
Bloomingtails reserves the right to remove any dog from a party or event if their behaviour is causing stress, discomfort, or safety concerns for themselves, other dogs, guests, or staff.
Owners must notify Bloomingtails of any dietary requirements, allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions before the event. Bloomingtails cannot guarantee that treats, cakes, or party items have been prepared in allergen‑free environments unless specifically stated.
Any party food, treats, or enrichment items provided by owners must be approved by Bloomingtails before the event.
Children attending events must remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times.
Party and event bookings may require advance payment and may be subject to separate cancellation terms communicated at the time of booking.
Bloomingtails reserves the right to amend, postpone, or cancel an event due to adverse weather, insufficient numbers, safety concerns, staff illness, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
15. Late Collection Policy
Full Day PlayDates (collection 3:30pm–6:00pm)
If a dog is collected after 6:00pm, a late fee may be applied to cover additional staffing. If a dog is not collected by 6:30pm, Bloomingtails may contact emergency contacts or, if necessary, arrange temporary boarding at the owner’s expense.
Half Day PlayDates (finish time 1:30pm)
Dogs booked for half‑day sessions must be collected by 1:30pm. Collections after 1:30pm may incur a late fee. Repeated lateness may result in refusal of future half‑day bookings.
Puppy Socialisation Sessions (finish time 11:30am)
Puppies attending Friday Puppy Socialisation Sessions must be collected by 11:30am. Collections after 11:30am may incur a late fee. Bloomingtails reserves the right to decline future puppy session bookings if lateness becomes persistent.
Bloomingtails will always act in the best interest of the dogs in our care, and timely collection is essential for maintaining safe group management and staffing levels.
Bloomingtails collects and stores your contact details, your dog’s information, and any relevant veterinary or behavioural notes for the purpose of providing safe and appropriate care. Your data is stored securely and never shared except with veterinary professionals in an emergency or licensing authorities if required.

By booking daycare, owners confirm they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
